Bandung — The Indonesian University of Education (UPI) held a community service activity entitled Bincang Edu-Creative (BEC) as an effort to strengthen the competence of teachers and prospective educators in designing learning tools according to the curriculum.

This activity was initiated by a team of lecturers from the Computer Science Education Study Program, FPMIPA UPI, consisting of Enjun Junaeti, M.Sc., Dr. Harsa Wara Prabawa, M.Pd., Andini Setya Arianti, M.Ds., and Nusuki Syariati Fatimah, M.Pd. Participants came from prospective educators and education practitioners. The number of participants was limited to maintain the effectiveness of implementation and the quality of interactions during the activity.

The BEC Workshop will be held in four sessions throughout 2025, namely on November 11 and 18 and December 2 and 22. Each session lasts 90 minutes and focuses on the formulation of Learning Objectives (TP) and Learning Objective Flow (ATP), the preparation of Student Worksheets (LKPD), and the development of valid and reliable learning evaluation instruments.

The activity was designed in a hands-on workshop format, encouraging active participant participation. The session began with a presentation by a resource person, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. The interaction included discussions on the classification of teaching materials, the breakdown of learning outcomes into TP and ATP, and a discussion on learning evaluation through analogies to facilitate understanding.

The entire series of activities was held offline at the FPMIPA C Building, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Bandung. Through its first year of BEC, it is hoped that this activity will make a tangible contribution to the competency development of prospective educators. In addition to producing validated learning tool documents, this activity also serves as the initial platform for the formation of a community of practitioners as a sustainable effort for the community service program.
