Eid al-Fitr is a meaningful occasion for Muslims around the world, including the academic community at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, particularly within the Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education (FPMIPA).
After observing a full month of fasting during Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr becomes a perfect moment to return to one’s pure nature, strengthen bonds of friendship, and seek and grant forgiveness among one another. At FPMIPA UPI, a strong sense of togetherness and familial spirit can be felt in welcoming this holy day.
The momentum of Eid al-Fitr is not only seen as a celebration but also as a time for self-reflection. Students, lecturers, and educational staff are encouraged to enhance values such as honesty, discipline, and social awareness that have been cultivated during the month of Ramadan. This aligns with the academic spirit that upholds integrity and ethics.
Furthermore, the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr serves as an opportunity to strengthen relationships among members of the campus community. The tradition of exchanging forgiveness, whether in person or through digital media, reflects the values of tolerance and togetherness that are highly upheld within FPMIPA.
