UPI Ranked 101–150 Globally in Education in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026
Bandung – Wednesday, March 25, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), proudly expresses its appreciation for UPI’s remarkable achievement in securing a position in the 101–150 global ranking for Education and Training in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) by Subject 2026.
This accomplishment marks a significant improvement from the previous year, when UPI was still ranked within the Top 300 globally. The achievement also places UPI as 1st in Indonesia and 31st in Asia in the field of education, further strengthening its position as a leading institution in educational development at the global level.
The QS WUR by Subject ranking is based on several key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper, h-index, and international research network, with the highest weight placed on academic reputation. These indicators reflect global perceptions of academic quality, graduate employability, and the research contributions of an institution.
The Director of Quality Assurance and Ranking at UPI, Ratnaningsih Eko Sardjono, stated that this achievement is the result of UPI’s consistent efforts in strengthening its role as a research-based educational institution. She emphasized that the improvement reflects the contributions of the academic community in producing innovative research outputs and scientific publications that are increasingly recognized internationally, as well as the expansion of global research collaborations.
In addition to its achievement in Education and Training, UPI is also ranked in the English Language and Literature subject, securing a position in the 301–350 global range and ranking 4th in Indonesia. This demonstrates UPI’s growing contribution to multidisciplinary fields at the international level.
The leadership and entire academic community of FPMIPA UPI extend their sincere congratulations on this outstanding achievement. This milestone reflects the continuous strengthening of academic quality and serves as motivation to further enhance global competitiveness through research development, improved scientific publications, and expanded international collaboration.
