TWO TEAMS OF FISIKA FPMIPA UPI STUDENT GROUP GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS AT THE INTERNATIONAL INVENTION AND INNOVATIVE COMPETITION (InIIC) 2023 MALAYSIA

Two groups of Physics study program students have won gold and silver medals in the B2 (Higher Institution Student) category at the 2023 International Invention and Innovative Competition (InIIC) competition in Malaysia. The students under the guidance of Dr. Selly Feranie, S.Pd., M.Si. were led by 1) Reza Mochammad Akbar and 2) Muhammad Azfa Az-Zikri.

The team led by Azfa has carried out a team magnetic electricity project that they made in the form of a vest for seniors. If the user falls, there will be a notification to the closest family along with info on the location of the fall. This will certainly be very useful for families who have seniors who need special assistance.

The team led by Reza carried the idea of a disaster literacy application project for the community based on research results. This earned Reza’s team the Gold Award and certainly succeeded in competing with other participants.

Reza’s project has been socialized through PPM activities and has received many positive responses and support. The idea was then developed in collaboration with several UPI Physics lecturers. 

Both ideas from each team have been published in the form of international chapter book 2023 published by MNNF Publisher with the title Empowering Innovation Post Pandemic with E-ISBN 978-967-0052-02-1.
