In order to prepare graduates to be ready to face the working world and compete professionally, the University of Education Indonesia, through the Directorate of Counseling, Inclusion, and Career Development, along with the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences Education (FPMIPA), is organizing Career and Social Guidance (BIMKARSOS) Wave III on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the FPMIPA UPI Auditorium.
This event was attended by 325 prospective graduates from various study programs at FPMIPA who will graduate in October 2025. Through this event, participants received guidance on strategies for entering the workforce, professional ethics, and tips for building a sustainable career in the digital age. This activity aligns with the Impactful Campus program and supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; preparing for the development of decent careers to drive economic growth.
The guest speaker for this event was the Vice Dean of Student Affairs at FPMIPA UPI, Prof. Dr. Nahadi, M.Pd., M.Si. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Nahadi said that this career guidance event was an important part of students’ early journey into the professional world. “We hope that FPMIPA graduates will not only have strong academic competencies, but also the mental preparedness and career skills to compete,” he said. In addition, he advised graduates to uphold good attitude, integrity, and responsibility in their work as FPMIPA UPI graduates.
The second speaker was Dr. Hernawati, S.Pt., M.Si., as the Student Affairs Officer of the Biology Study Program, who presented “From Campus to Work: Maximizing Career Potential and Opportunities.” In addition to a session on global employment trends, she also shared tips on how to write a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and how to ace a job interview. The third speaker was Mrs. Salsabila Farah Dib, S.Pd., who provided information on completing the UPI Tracer Study. In addition to the three speakers, this BIMKARSOS event was supported by partner Bank Mandiri.
Through this event, it is hoped that graduating students will gain insights, motivation, and inspiration to develop their careers in their respective fields of study and be able to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
