FPMIPA UPI Strengthens Technology-Based Education Governance Through Academic Application Training

On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, The Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education (FPMIPA) – Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held an event titled Enhancing Competency and Comprehension of Academic and Student Affairs Systems at FPMIPA UPI. The Event took place at FPMIPA Auditorium and was attended by Heads of Study Programs, Study Program Secretaries, and all Academic Staff within the FPMIPA.

The event commenced at 08:00 AM (Western Indonesian Time) with participant registration, followed by an opening address delivered by Dr. Cepi Riyana, M.Pd., Director of the Directorate of Information Technology Systems and Data Center. The event was also attended by the Dean of FPMIPA, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Adi Rahmat, M.Si.

The agenda featured a series of informative presentations, such as:

• Academic and PDDikti Systems – Presented by Yedi Rudiawan, S.Sos ; Taufik Hidayat, A.Md ; Agus Setiawan S.E.
• SIAK and SIAS Application – Presented by Dr. Saripudin, S.Pd., M.T
• Integrating Academic and Student Affairs Perspectives for Excellent Service– Presented by Ela Margalina, S.Pd., M.Pd.

This event aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of academic and student data systems, strengthen internal coordination, and reinforce service excellent across the academic environment. It also supports the realization of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably:

• SDG 4 – Quality Education: Enhancing the capacity of educational staff and the quality of academic services to support inclusive, equitable and high-quality learning.
• SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: Strengthening institutional governance in education through data transparency, administrative efficiency, and accountable service delivery.

The event concluded with a dynamic discussion session and Q&A Session, during which participants actively engaged with the speakers. The entire event was noted for its smooth execution and high level of enthusiasm among participants.

Through this initiative, FPMIPA UPI has taken a significant step forward fostering a more efficient, informed, and collaborative academic environment, further aligning the faculty with national education standards and global development goal.
