The Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Programs in Mathematics Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) are preparing for international accreditation from The Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN). This preparation started in 2024 and continues to this day, with plans to submit the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) in February 2025.

This international accreditation process is a strategic step for UPI’s Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Mathematics Education to enhance academic quality and global competitiveness. The preparation of the SAR is a crucial phase in this process, where the drafting team conducts an in-depth evaluation of various aspects of the program, including the curriculum, human resources, facilities, research, and community contributions.

In preparing for this accreditation, UPI has organized various workshops and training sessions involving lecturers, administrative staff, and faculty leaders. These activities aim to align perceptions and understanding of the international accreditation standards and indicators set by ACQUIN. Additionally, UPI collaborates with other institutions that have successfully obtained similar accreditation to share experiences and strategies in meeting accreditation requirements.

The Rector of UPI, Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., M.A., stated that achieving international accreditation aligns with UPI’s vision of becoming a leading and outstanding university in education at the international level. He emphasized the importance of commitment and collaboration among the entire academic community in realizing this goal and expressed hope that international accreditation would enhance UPI graduates’ reputation and quality on a global scale.
