Bandung, August 22, 2025 – BEM Himatika ‘Identika’ UPI successfully organized the Gema Mahasiswa Matematika (GMM) Seminar 2025 with the theme “Problem Solving Strategies: From Olympiad Math to Real-World Challenges”. The event featured Liana Nathania, an influencer actively sharing tips about mathematics on various social media platforms, as the keynote speaker.
The seminar was held in a hybrid format, with participants attending onsite at the FPMIPA Auditorium, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) as well as online via Zoom Meeting. Running from 08.00 AM to 11.40 AM, the program began with an opening session, followed by the keynote presentation, an interactive discussion and Q&A session, and concluded with a closing summary and appreciation for the participants.
In addition to the keynote presentation, the seminar also introduced the upcoming GMM Competition, which will be held in November 2025. This competition has become one of GMM’s most anticipated annual events, aiming to sharpen the mathematical skills of both students and university participants while fostering a healthy and inspiring competitive environment.
With the success of this seminar, it is hoped that students will not only be inspired to further develop their problem-solving abilities in academic contexts but also be able to connect these skills to the demands of the professional world and everyday life. The GMM Seminar 2025 thus served as a platform that brought together ideas, experiences, and enthusiasm for continuous learning and contribution through mathematics.
