South Lampung — Lecturers from the Mathematics Education and Mathematics Study Program at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) conducted a Community Service (PkM) activity together with the South Lampung Junior High School Mathematics Teacher Working Group (MGMP) and Kalianda 1 Public Junior High School. This activity took place at Kalianda 1 Public Junior High School, South Lampung, with the theme “The Meaning of Deep Learning and ICT in Learning Implementation.”
This PkM activity featured two main speakers, Prof. Dr. Nanang Priatna, M.Ed. and Prof. Dr. Yaya S. Kusumah, M.Sc., who are senior lecturers from UPI. Both delivered material that focused on the importance of applying deep learning and utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) in the mathematics learning process in the digital age.
During the event, junior high school mathematics teachers who are members of the South Lampung Mathematics MGMP enthusiastically participated in the presentation and discussion sessions. They gained new insights into learning strategies that focus on deep conceptual understanding and the integration of technology to improve the effectiveness of classroom learning.
The event concluded with a question and answer session and joint reflection, as well as the presentation of souvenirs from the UPI lecturer team to SMPN 1 Kalianda and representatives of the South Lampung Mathematics MGMP as a token of appreciation for their cooperation and warm welcome.
