SMART DUASH TEAM ACHIEVES HONORABLE MENTION IN THE DIGITAL MICROTEACHING DIVISION AT LIDM 2023

The Smart Duash Team, consisting of 3 students from the Computer Science Education program, led by Galvin Eka Nurullah, along with members Muhammad Hasbi Sabilulhaq and Razif Afdan, guided by Jajang Kusnendar, S.T., M.T., successfully achieved an Honorable Mention at the Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM) in the Digital Microteaching Division, with the final stage held from Wednesday, July 5, 2023, to Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the FPTK Building, UPI.

The Smart Duash Team created a digital microteaching project that implements digitization or digital technology in education. Their innovation goes beyond just digital technology; they also design learning objectives, organize the learning flow, and apply 21st-century skills or 4Cs. In this microteaching project, they developed an education game based on the Scratch website that facilitates simulation games relevant to the learning materials while maintaining the attractiveness of the media.

Their motivation to innovate extends beyond winning the competition; they are driven by the desire to contribute to Indonesia and serve as an example for the nation’s future generations. The Smart Duash Team prepared for two months before the LIDM competition, strategizing and discussing task assignments, such as designing lesson plans (RPP) and learning implementation plans (ATP), as well as creating media.

Team leader, Galvin, expressed deep gratitude to Allah SWT and thanked the supervising lecturer for providing guidance in creating their entry for the LIDM competition. “Our hope is that with this Honorable Mention, it will continue to motivate us and our fellow students to produce the best works for our country, especially in the field of education. We aim to create works that can be beneficial. Winning or not is not our main focus; our goal is to be useful,” said Galvin. They hope that other students will achieve even better results in the future.
