UPI As The Host And Organizer Of The Student Digital Innovation Competition

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) is organizing the Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM) 2023 in collaboration with the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas), the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI), and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The event is scheduled to take place from July 4th to July 6th, 2023, under the theme “Digital Literacy to Cultivate National Educational Talent towards an Advanced Indonesia with a New Way of Life.”

LIDM provides an opportunity for students from all over Indonesia to showcase their talents in the field of information and communication technology. It is also an ideal platform for nurturing the enthusiasm of students. Through this competition, it is hoped that students can become a generation of the nation that excels, innovates, demonstrates creativity, competence, character, and culture. LIDM is specifically aimed at enhancing digital literacy among students, supporting the improvement of higher education, and fostering students’ creativity and innovation in education through the utilization of digital technology. Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen the awareness and interest of participants in promoting sustainability through the use of digital technology and developing teaching skills through talent competitions in educational innovation.

The implementation of LIDM 2023 will be centered at the Achmad Sanusi Building and the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education (FPTK) Building at UPI. The competition will be held in various rooms, including the FPTK Building lobby on the 1st floor, Smart Classrooms on the 3rd and 5th floors, and Microteaching Rooms A and B on the 6th floor.

LIDM is in line with the Free Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) policy, which encourages education and learning at all levels to pay more attention to accelerating the mastery of 21st-century skills, so that the young generation is prepared to compete in the era of globalization and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
