18th Anniversary Celebration of the Computer Science Family: Rising Beyond Boundaries
The Celebration Day of the Computer Science Family (DINAMIK), marking the 18th birthday of the academic community journey of the Computer Science Department at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), has successfully created unforgettable moments with the theme “Rising Beyond Boundaries.” A series of captivating activities adorned this celebration, providing valuable moments and inspiration for all participants.
The event commenced grandly on Friday, December 1, 2023, through the “Opening Ceremony” and “Dinamik Talks.” Held at the Auditorium of FPMIPA UPI and virtually via Zoom Meeting, the event featured inspirational speakers. Ms. Nusuki Syariati, a Computer Science Education lecturer at UPI, along with two alumni, Muhammad Rahmanda (CEO of Elspasial) and Muhammad Singgih (CMO & Co-Founder of Codepolitan), shared their inspiring journeys to success. Moderator Cantika Putri Arbiliansyah adeptly guided the inspirational talk show session, ending with an enriching Q&A session for the participants.
Academic Competitions took center stage with a series of competitions such as Scientific Paper Writing, Microteaching, Outstanding Student, Competitive Programming, and User Interface Web Design. These competitions were designed for active students in the field of Computer Science and Computer Science Education to foster a spirit of competition. The final stage from December 11th to 15th became a platform for 12 Outstanding Student participants, 4 Scientific Paper Writing teams, 7 Competitive Programming teams, 3 User Interface Web Design teams, and 7 Microteaching teams to present their projects in front of the judges.
Furthermore, the Computer Science Competition (COSION) added diversity with non-academic competitions. From sports such as Badminton, Volleyball, Futsal, to E-Sports categories featuring Mobile Legends, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Valorant, as well as Art segments including Unjuk Kabisa Urang (UJANG), Photography, and Tumpeng. Participants’ enthusiasm in the competitions was felt throughout the period from December 2nd to 16th, 2023.
The pinnacle of the event was celebrated on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with the festive “Closing Ceremony of Dinamik-18” at the UPI Amphitheater. Students, lecturers, and alumni from the Computer Science and Computer Science Education programs gathered to create moments of togetherness in this spirited celebration. Captivating performances by students and alumni, along with a special performance by sundayeve, marked the spectacular end. At the climax of this celebration, the winners of the academic and COSION competitions were announced, and the committee along with the entire Computer Science and Computer Science Education family appreciated their dedication and achievements.
Congratulations to the Computer Science and Computer Science Education programs on this Dinamik anniversary celebration. At 18 years old, hopes are high. Satria Rajendra, chief executive of Dinamik-18, expressed his hope that “in the momentum of Dinamik-18 with the theme Rising Beyond Boundaries, I hope all colleagues can collaborate, innovate, and be extraordinary, we must be initiator and innovators in the field of technology to build an advanced and excellent Indonesia.” May these programs continue to improve in quality as they age, providing excellent education to remain at the forefront. Hopes also extend to the students, that the spirit of competition and learning continues to shine brightly, towards a future full of light and achievements.
