Ismi Khoerunisa Achieved First Place Award in PKM-RE AMLI 2023

AMLI 2023 Student Creativity Week for Research and Expedition (PKM-RE) is a programme organised by the Indonesian Association of MIPA LPTK (AMLI) in April-November 2023 to develop students’ potential and creativity in research and expedition. This programme aims to improve the quality and quantity of student research, as well as provide opportunities for students to explore and solve problems in society. In this competition, Ismi Khoerunisa won first place with her work entitled “Effectiveness of Hand Cream from Animal and Vegetable Milk with Calcium Combination from Egg Shells to Overcome Burning Sensation Due to Capsicum”.

Their work is an innovation that can help the community, especially housewives who often process chillies, to reduce the burning sensation caused by capsaisin, the chemical compound that causes the spicy taste of chillies. They made a hand cream that contains animal and vegetable milk, as well as calcium from eggshells, which can neutralise capsaicin and relieve skin burning.

Ismi Khoerunisa and her team are examples of students who have high spirit and dedication in research and expeditions. They show that students can contribute in creating solutions to problems in society, while developing their potential and creativity. They are also an inspiration for other students to keep learning and innovating.
