Commemorating National Teacher’s Day

“A teacher affects eternity; they can never tell where their influence stops.” – Henry Adams

Every year on November 25, Indonesia celebrates National Teacher’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the dedication of teachers who have committed their lives to shaping the future of the nation. This day also marks the founding of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) in 1945, an organization that advocates for teachers’ rights and the improvement of national education.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) joins in commemorating this special day with deep respect and appreciation for all teachers across Indonesia. Teachers are more than educators—they are inspirers, motivators, and drivers of change in society. Through their dedication, they impart knowledge and life values, shaping individuals who are not only academically excellent but also morally grounded.

In the modern era, the challenges in education have grown increasingly complex, from technological advancements to evolving learning models. Yet, teachers have proven their resilience by adapting, innovating, and maintaining their passion for education. Teachers are a beacon of wisdom and a source of inspiration, playing a vital role in shaping the character and future of the next generation.

On this National Teacher’s Day 2024, FPMIPA UPI invites the academic community and society at large to express gratitude to teachers for their dedication and sacrifices. Let us use this moment as a reminder that education is the cornerstone of a progressive and competitive nation.

Thank you, Teachers, for your dedication, sacrifices, and inspiration. Happy National Teacher’s Day 2024! Together, let us strengthen education in Indonesia for a brighter future.
