SOCIAL PROJECT: PLASTICLESS BIOME WITH CAKRA BESTARI

Waste has become an increasingly urgent environmental issue across various parts of the world. Rapid population growth, urbanization, and unsustainable consumption patterns have led to a significant increase in waste volume. This phenomenon poses serious challenges to environmental sustainability and public health.

The Biology Students Association has conducted a Social Project with the theme: “Plasticless Biome with Cakra Bestari.” This activity is part of the FORMICUP 2023 events. The Social Project involves community outreach to raise awareness about waste reduction and encourages people to collect plastic bottles according to specified categories.

The collected plastic bottles are then handed over to the organizing committee in exchange for merchandise. The accumulated waste aims to minimize the use of sustainable waste.

This activity took place over three consecutive days, from December 8 to 10, 2023, with collection points at different locations, namely: Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Taman Lansia, and Ujung Berung.
