The tracer study is a regular evaluation activity conducted by the Master's Program in Biology Education, FPMIPA UPI, as part of its commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. The results provide essential feedback for curriculum development, institutional services, industry collaboration, and alumni engagement.
The instrument used in this tracer study measures alumni satisfaction across three main aspects:
a. Alignment of competencies with the workplace
b. Quality of learning and faculty
c. Facilities and services during studies

Tracer Study Report Master Program of Biology Education (MP-BE) FPMIPA UPI Academic Year 2024–2025
MP-BE coordinates with FPMIPA and UPI in conducting a tracer study on graduates. The Career Counseling and Development Agency (BKPK) through the link https://tracerstudy.upi.edu. The tracer study is conducted regularly (twice a year, in March and November). The list of questions included in the tracer study questionnaire refers to the core questions of the DIKTI tracer study. The target of the tracer study is all graduates in the designated year. MP-BE uses the results of the tracer study as a reference in curriculum development.
Figure 1. Relevance of graduates' fields of work
Based on the results of the tracer study (Figure 1), it was found that the majority of graduates (77.8%) work in the field of education as educators, at the elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels, as well as at the university level. Meanwhile, a small portion of graduates (22.2%) work as education practitioners, entrepreneurs, or continue their studies.
