The Master Program of Biology Education (MP-BE) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia proudly announces the publication of two outstanding research articles by its faculty members in highly reputable Q1 international journals. The first article, titled “Meta-affective progression in science: A cross-sectional study of junior high school students”, was published in Acta Psychologica (Q1) by Elsevier. Authored by Nurhayati, P., Widodo, A., Purwianingsih, W., and Samsudin, A., the study explores meta-affective development among junior high school students in the context of science education.
Meanwhile, the second article, “Opening minds, fostering reflection: A pathway analysis of open-mindedness and reflective thinking skills in science education”, was published in Social Sciences & Humanities Open (Q1), also by Elsevier. This research focuses on the relationship between open-mindedness and reflective thinking in science learning. These publications not only strengthen MP-BE’s academic presence on a global scale but also highlight interdisciplinary collaboration between educational psychology and science education.
