Rationalization
Assessment of the process and outcomes of learning chemistry as an integral part of the chemistry learning process needs to be continuously researched and developed. Research and Development of various assessment models and instruments needed in the evaluation of chemistry learning include various assessment methods and learning targets, both knowledge, reasoning, skills, attitudes and values to obtain valid and reliable assessment instruments and methods in accordance with developments in chemistry learning.

Objective
- Availability of tools to assess student competence in chemistry that are effective and tested

- Development of a chemistry competency assessment implementation package, including instructions for assessment, examples of assessment tools, computer software for processing and instructions for data interpretation.
- Grouping and development of valid and reliable assessment tools for chemistry education research.
