Community Service Group

The community service programs implemented aim to apply research findings and academic expertise in addressing issues within the community, particularly in the field of chemistry education. The following activities were designed based on the needs of partner institutions and the relevance to each respective academic discipline.

Also includes workshops on Innovative School Chemistry Practicum, Fun Chemistry Experiments in Daily Life, and Virtual Experiments. 1. PKM activities were published in mass media and national journals.2. Partnership established between Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and MGMP Chemistry in Banten to improve the quality of chemistry education in schools.

Fun Chemistry Demonstration

2 Academic Capacity Enhancement for High School Chemistry Teachers and Students in KCD X West Java: Chemistry Learning Design, Article Writing, and Research Proposal Preparation 14, 17, and 28 September 2024, Cirebon, Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon Campus Chemistry Teachers from KCD X (Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, and Kuningan Regency) Activities conducted both online and offline. On 14 Sept 2024 (online), in-depth materials on Chemistry Learning Innovation were presented and followed by group sessions according to KBK (Research Interest Groups). On 17 Sept 2024 (offline), additional materials on Electrochemistry and article writing sessions. On 28 Sept 2024 (online), article discussion and revision sessions. Five scientific articles were produced in accordance with each KBK group.

3 COLLABORATION BETWEEN LECTURERS AND TEACHERS IN DEVELOPING CHEMISTRY LEARNING “CHEMISTRY LEARNING INNOVATION IN THE ERA OF SOCIETY 5.0” 25 November 2023, FPMIPA B UPI Showroom Chemistry Teachers of MGMP in Bandung City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung, and Cimahi The event was held in two sessions: First, a seminar on writing scientific articles by Prof. Fitri Khoerunnisa, Ph.D., followed by discussions between teachers, lecturers, and students on article writing and implementation experiences. Second, small group discussions to analyze data and write collaborative articles. Five scientific articles submitted to nationally accredited (SINTA) journals.

4 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR CHEMISTRY TEACHERS BASED ON THE TEACHER PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (PPG) CURRICULUM 20 July – 5 August 2023, SMAN 1 Pelabuhan Ratu High School Chemistry Teachers in Sukabumi Regency PKM activity was carried out in two modes: online and offline. Offline sessions included direct presentations and best practices from PPG students. Online sessions involved structured assignments and presentations on differentiated learning, new technologies in teaching, effective assessment, and socio-emotional learning. 1. Provided insight into professional development through PPG.2. Joint publication in journals.3. Partnership formed between schools, Education Offices, and Higher Education to improve the quality of education.

5 CHEMISTRY CONTENT ENHANCEMENT AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING DESIGN TO SUPPORT THE STRENGTHENING OF PANCASILA STUDENT PROFILE PROJECTS FOR CHEMISTRY TEACHERS IN SMA/SMK IN SUMEDANG February – April 2023, SMAN 1 Cimalaka, Sumedang Chemistry Teachers of SMA/SMK in Sumedang and Majalengka Regencies Part of the university’s Tri Dharma mission, this PKM was conducted through a workshop aimed at improving teachers’ content mastery and PjBL design. The theme was “Deepening Chemistry Content and Designing PjBL-Oriented Lessons for P5 (Pancasila Student Profile)”. Activities involved chemistry and chemistry education experts. 1. Improved teacher competencies in content, pedagogy, and ICT.2. Developed PjBL learning tools to enhance students’ scientific literacy.3. Joint journal publications.4. Strengthened partnerships between schools, education offices, and universities to improve learning quality.
