In order to strengthen international cooperation and improve the quality of education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) held a Benchmarking Program activity with Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. This activity is part of the academic program of second semester students of the Master of Education (Curriculum) class of 2024/2025 from the university. The event took place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB in the Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, FIP B, UPI. This activity was attended by Dr. Eyus Sudihartinih, M.Pd. and Nadia Ulfa, M.Pd. as lecturers, as well as two students, namely Fatin Nasywa Kirana and Restika Farhany.
This benchmarking aims to be a forum for exchanging insights, experiences, and best practices in designing and developing educational curricula. This activity is expected to encourage close collaboration between academics from both institutions to broaden scientific horizons and strengthen cross-country educational networks. This meeting also became an important medium to evaluate and compare the implementation of the curriculum in each higher education institution.
In the forum, the delegation from Universiti Malaysia Sabah stated that they were designing a new study program and needed references and input regarding curriculum development from UPI. In response, the UPI team that was present provided a comprehensive presentation regarding the structure, vision, and curriculum approach applied, including leading practices in the development of study programs. The discussion took place openly and interactively, providing space for the exchange of valuable ideas and experiences for the sake of improving the quality of higher education on both sides.
